We are thrilled to announce that Sideline Learning has been awarded the Request for Proposal (RFP) for viaSport British Columbia’s "Strength in Numbers" project.
This landmark partnership marks a significant leap forward in how amateur sport is managed, measured, and protected across the province. By integrating Sideline Learning’s advanced technology with viaSport’s vision, we are building a more unified, secure, and data-informed sport ecosystem across British Columbia.
What is "Strength in Numbers"?
In late 2025, viaSport issued a call for a transformative Information Management System (IMS). The goal was ambitious: to replace fragmented legacy systems with a single, "integrated information ecosystem."
The Strength in Numbers project is designed to:
Break Down Silos: Connect all designated sport organizations under one digital roof.
Standardize Organizational Reporting: Establish a centralized framework for member data and compliance metrics so every designated organization meets the reporting standards essential for continued funding and institutional health.
Empower Data-Driven Decisions: Shift from anecdotal evidence to hard data to drive funding, participation, and inclusivity initiatives.
Why Sideline Learning?
The BC sports landscape is a complex web of grassroots community clubs and high-performance provincial bodies. Sideline Learning was chosen for our modular, "identity-first" approach to sport management.
To power this evolution, our suite of tools serves as the backbone of the new ecosystem:
1. The Compliance & Security Hub: Automated Readiness
We provide a secure, PIPEDA-compliant pathway for organizations to demonstrate operational health. By automating the reporting of key benchmarks through an AWS-backed infrastructure, we ensure every member organization remains in good standing. This approach guarantees data integrity and streamlines the administrative requirements necessary to unlock and maintain funding.
2. The Governance & CRM Hub: Connected Communication
True organizational health requires visibility. Our connected member CRM provides parent organizations with total transparency into the health of their sub-entities. By centralizing interactions, we enable seamless member communication across the entire network, ensuring that messaging is consistent, trackable, and integrated directly into organizational workflows.
3. Member Insights: Intelligent Reporting for Equity
We believe in turning raw data into strategic intelligence. Our intelligent reporting tools go beyond basic metrics to identify critical participation trends and equity gaps. This empowers viaSport and its partners to make the informed, data-driven decisions necessary to foster growth and inclusivity across the province.
A Future-Ready Ecosystem
This partnership marks a shift from legacy administration to a future-ready ecosystem. Through intelligent automation and unified data, we are eliminating the administrative friction that exhausts volunteer resources.
As we begin the implementation phase of the Strength in Numbers project, we look forward to collaborating closely with the viaSport team and the diverse sport organizations that make British Columbia a leader in Canadian amateur sport.
